Scholarships

Commercial Bank will award the Commercial Bank “Life Made Better” Scholarship for $2,500 to one graduating senior chosen from the thirteen counties in which we serve. 

Commercial Bank would like to recognize students who embody what it means to make life better in his/her community, whether it be in their home, school, work, or neighborhood. We are looking for a young man or woman who is energetic, positive, and uplifting; a student who seeks to make a difference in the lives around him/her while exhibiting character, kindness, and courage. 

“Life. Made Better.” Scholarship Requirements: Students wishing to apply should have a GPA of at least 3.0 and be involved in at least two extra-curricular activities (including sports, school clubs, volunteer work, or employment). Students must obtain a recommendation letter from a teacher or guidance counselor and write an essay of at least 1000 words. The essay should describe the facets of what he/she believes can make life better for individuals in the community and how he/she commits to that goal. . Due to time constraints, the scholarship committee will not accept late entries. The “Life. Made Better.” Scholarship selection committee will announce the winner by April 16, 2021.
